Taking a little time to do a test install of Drupal would answer
many of your questions.
Drupal's look and feel can be changed extensively by developing
custom stylesheets.
As for the virtual domains, I don't believe Drupal supports this.
You can certainly implement multiple sites/subdomains, but at
the moment
this would be a manual configuration, so it would be tedious if you had
more than a handful of users.
You might try to set things up using organic groups, having a group
per user.
