database broken after PHP upgrade - any "out of the box" solutions

Hello,

the database of one of my drupal installations got corrupted because of a PHP
upgrade performed by the ISP without notifying anyone - for details see the
following pages, it's exactly the same problem:

Now I'd like to know whether there's anybody out there who has experienced
this problem before (invalid serialization committed to database) and has
possibly sone kind of "magic-will-fix-it-all" script...?
