Hello everyone,
We're seeing increasingly many people turn up on the Drupal development
IRC channel asking questions. Forums and/or e-mail are often ill-suited
to walking people through issues, and live chat can be useful, so in an
effort to make the Drupal community more live and accessible, I'm
proposing we create an IRC support channel.
Please continue to ask questions that you think are non-trivial on the
forums or the Drupal Support mailing list - both are more useful to
everyone else than IRC because they get archived and are searchable.
If someone answers your questions well on the IRC channel, please
consider creating some documentation with the answer in and posting it
on the drupal.org site (even if it's only a copy/paste from the channel).
So, without further ado, and to get straight to the point without
beating about the bush and clouding the issue any more than is
necessary, you'll be wanting to join:

On the FreeNode IRC network (irc.freenode.net).
All are welcome, particularly if you can answer questions rather than
merely asking them. :)
