Block paths again

I have a client who only wants the user login and navigation blocks to show
up on the admin pages </admin>. I tried entering the string <^admin> as the
path on the block configuration screen, and this does prevent the block from
being displayed, but I now also get the error message:

   warning: No ending delimiter '^' found in
/usr/www/users/haalt/modules/block.module on line 369.

Is what I'm trying to do possible?
