Using PHP with Apache 2.0 Filter: mod_rewrite issues: msg#00118php.drupal.support
I posted this to drupal.org day before yesterday, but go no replies. I suspect this may be a rare server configuration which I'm trying to help someone else with. I'm hoping someone on the support list is familiar with PHP using Apache 2.0 in Filter mode instead of using modules. Clean urls just aren't working. Only the front page works. Every other page returns "a request url not found . . ." error. Yet, pages are still excessible by the legacy query urls. I've tried setting rewrite base, checked AllowOverride All (phpinfo is acknowledging the php settings in .htaccess), and changed the IfModule setting. I suspect that it has to be this PHP setup. I've since found out that the site is running on RedHat Advanced Server 3.0. According to phpinfo(), php was configured with "-with-apxs2filter=/usr/sbin/apxs" and "enable-force-cgi-redirect" instead of sapi. phpinfo() shows no apache modules in its output. Apache 2.0 Filter is listed as the server API. And there is no php module load in httpd.conf. Anyone have any familiarity with this setup? Any suggestions? Thanks!
