Forum topics lost by not defining a Vocabulary first?: msg#00152

Subject: Forum topics lost by not defining a Vocabulary first?
Hi all,

I rushed to create several forum topics on http://cms-forum.org, without carefully reading the Handbook, which says we need the Taxonomy vocabulary built first.

The topics contain several comments and multiple replies, gleaned from the CMS mailing list (quite a few hours work).

So when I navigate to Home >> Forums, are these Forum Topics lost?

After the fact, I created a vocabulary ("Fora") with the Forum Topic names, and I am hoping that there is a way to attach the nodes for these Forum Topics to the new Forum containers.

This problem could be avoided for others in the future. When we create content >> forum topic, we should be challenged to create Fora if nothing is in the Forum drop-down menu.

Thanks for any help...
