LDAP and single sign on: Step one: an OpenID server with a pluggable authentication architecture, allowing OpenID server admins to configure the source (LDAP, as well as other sources) from where they will draw users. Combine this with a module that OpenID enables Drupal. Add code that extends OpenID by allowing identities to be carried across sites. All this code exists. We're working on documenting how to connect the dots, and on testing the various components. Step two: Code that allows a Drupal site to be the front end of an OpenID server -- a bit further down the road, but something that's on our radar. Cheers, Bill All this code exists.
