Very good idea Laura!

When modifying snippets (now and then one or two) I'll also look for db_queries bypassing node_access.

Another approach would be to require snippets to be checked into Drupal CVS and then pulling them into the page from CVS. This is currently done with Drupal install instructions.

This would allow people to manage the snippets and see revisions.
