About the split of the image module I did, it's nearly up to date with
the original image module and is 100% database compatible, so it would
be only a drop-in replacement. I will take a look at it before this
weekend to apply the latest patches.
I'm thinking whether to keep the image gallery stuff as a new module
-which I think is a better option- or to have it as a plugin for the
image module.
Whatever I think it is better to make a decission about how it will be
split before making major changes -like moving to the file api.
