URI of cowiki! mod_proxy from apache

(warning: bad english below)
Hi...

I want to propose a little change in the structure of cowiki. What you think 
about put a variable named uri in the core.conf file with default to 
nothing.
I have a mod_proxy setup here with 2 webservers, and cowiki doesn't work 
very well because your <base url> in templates. With the uri variable, the 
user can put a uri in the core.conf or leave blank to work as is.
What you think about it?
Can I work in it?
