This code is exactly what's in the patch (attachment id=19).

What I described in #14 (WPKG unable to find a profile for the host, if "hosts"
folder exists) also happens in the version you attached in #11 (attachment
id=16; WPKG 0.9.5 + split fixes).

I think there is nothing special in my xml files - can you confirm that WPKG
with your split fixes work even when there is a "hosts" folder?
