Hello,
My name is Corey Birnbaum and I volunteer (as an interface expert and forum admin) for the human-computer interface concept known as
Archy, first conceived and built by Jef Raskin. I read about
Unununium while surfing Wikipedia for the term "userspace", a
term I'm using to describe the infinitely zoomable 2D plane where the
user's content will be represented in Archy. Feel free to learn more about our project
here.
After reading about Unununium I couldn't help but see Archy working in Unununium as the interface component. The design philosophy behind Archy seems to match Unununium's
in that both will boot back exactly as they were when they were shut
off, both can be altered dynamically, neither will use filesystems, and it's quite convenient that
they both use Python, among other things. Archy's design philosophy can be best summed up here. (Humanized is the for-profit "sister" of Raskin Center for Humane Interfaces, where Archy resides.)
At the moment Archy is a text editor--a clear and simple example of some of our interface principles. Feel free to use Archy as your first program, and please let me know if any of you are interested
