While the website has a small snippet chiding current interfaces
(which I agree with) there is little on the website or the developer
list describing your interface. This is a great tragedy. The
interface and underlying system should be developed in parallel so
that the interface doesn't make all the concessions because changing
the system is now too hard.
There was some discussion about using a type of CLI. Can I interest
you in The Humane Interface book by Jef Raskin? It describes an
interface built off of cognitive research into what the human mind
can deal with. It doesn't steal from other GUI's and is quite
addictive as using any Archy (http://rchi.raskincenter.org/aboutarchy/
introduction.php) alphas will quickly reveal.
I am willing to by a copy for a developer or two if they are cheap
enough. I have a digital copy, which is quite illegal and has my
name all over it, available to anyone that already has a copy and
promises to guard it carefully.
Thank you,
Zach
