Hi

I am struggling here, in a nutshell my PC wont boot when there are EFI labels
on any of the disks, for more info see:
http://www.opensolaris.org/jive/thread.jspa?threadID=37750&tstart=0

I need the precise sequence of commands please, I have 4 disks:

c6t0d0 c6t1d0 c6t2d0 c6t3d0

I created a pool like so:
zpool create uber raidz c6t0d0 c6t1d0 c6t2d0 c6t3d0

Now I will do a "zpool export uber" so I can change the disks. OK this is done.

Now format -e

I need the exact step-by-step sequence here to remove the EFI labels and create
a single slice filling each of the disks, I will then recreate "zpool create
uber raidz c6t0d0sX c6t1d0sX c6t2d0sX c6t3d0sX", I keep getting errors when I
try to label, I don't know the exact sequence.

Thanks everyone for all your help.

Cheers
Richard

Re: Open Solaris Express Edition and Open Solaris Express Devel

I am very eager to know what is differeces betweent hem. Both of these release has almost same size ~(3*1024) MB but SXDE has some IDEs with itself and SXCE has not. So what is other contents of SXCE which make its size equal to SXDE ? Thanks. This message posted from opensolaris.org

Installing b70 on Intel DG965WH with Celeron 420

Greetings, I'm trying to get b70 installed on an Intel DG965W[1] with a Celeron 420[2]. Everything seems to install just fine, but when I try to boot after the install, the machine either goes into a reboot loop or dumps out with an error indicating either a Bad Mutex in enter_mutex or a GPF from a BAD TRAP. Any thoughts on what's going on? My install drive is on SATA 0. Using the onboard video adapter, which seems to work just fine during the install. I can get into the failsafe Solaris through grub, but I'm a total Solaris newbie, so I'm not sure how to diagnose what's happening. Any help would be appreciated...
