Subject: Network configuration problem using DHCP

Hi! I'm having a network configuration problem in Solaris 10. All computers on
the local network are being connected using DHCP server. Moreover there is a
MAC address binding, and if my physical (MAC) address is not registered with
the server, I am unable to connect the network. In my Windows XP system there
is no problem to connect using DHCP, but in Solaris, it waits for several
minutes trying to locate the DHCP server and prints that there was no response.
However, trying to set up connection manually by setting my assigned IP
address, network mask and looking up the gateway upon the reboot - the server
gives out the message like: WARNING! Unauthorized use of IP address. (I think
that my MAC address is not being recognized well...) could you please hint me,
what is the problem?
