bootadm hangs after moving the boot disk between laptops: msg#00048os.solaris.opensolaris.help
Hi, I have moved the boot disk from an IBM T23 to a Dell L400 and have the system reset at booting problem, so need to rebuild the boot archive. However, after booting into safemode and mounting /a read+write I issue the command: bootadm update-archive -R /a And after the output: updating /a/platform/i86pc/boot_archive...this may take a minute The command just sleeps forever (I switched off after 2 hours). A triss just shows it sleeping. Can anyone help or do I need to re-install ? Regards, Carl This message posted from opensolaris.org |
