SUMMARY: Dual Head on SB1000

Good morning all,

With thanks to the following people (Wolf, Ryan, Pablo, Reni, Howard, Paul,
Rick, Sean, and a couple more that I accidentally deleted the email), we were
able to get this customer up and running as requested.

In order to activate dual heads on a Sun machine with 2 video cards, you have
to Add the following to your /etc/dt/config/Xservers

:0   Local local_uid@console root /usr/openwin/bin/Xsun :0 +xinerama
-nobanner -dev /dev/fb0 defdepth 24  -dev /dev/fb1 defdepth 24

Restart X.

Although several people also made mention of Xinerama, this was not needed to
perform the function.

I know this is most likely a simple question, unfortunately I must be
searching for the wrong thing, I cannot find an answer..


I have a customer who has a SB1000 and 2 video cards.  He wants to run dual
heads, and expand his desktop across the heads. Can someone please shed some
light on how to do this..
