SUMMARY: Lost device cdrom ?: msg#00114os.solaris.managers.summaries
Hello managers! First of, thanks to Stephen Kives that led me onto investigating vold further. Vold was interfering with the mounting of the cdrom Indeed, after killing vold I could easily run mount -F hsfs -o ro /dev/dsk/c0t6d0s0 /cdrom Luckily I didnt rm the startup scripts, I just mv them into a .notinuse catalog so no harm done. My first explanation of what I had done was, as I was told by some, apparantly very lame, and I agree. There fore an an extra HUGE thank you to: Stephen Kives Russel Page They were both very informative and not pompous, just helpful. You do have to fall of a horse 100 times to be an good rider. :-) Mvh Kjell Grindalen SIO/IT 2259 6863 / 95095311 |
