I set up Plan 9 system at home on a slow (K6/2-233, relatively, of course â) machine with a S3 Virge/GX (4MB) graphic chip for 1024x768x16, and RedHat Linux 7.2 is also running on the same machine. I found X is very very slow when compared with rio. ^_^ Anyway, PS2 Plan 9 is running in anywhere? Kenji

It's just a whacky mips and so if you are willing to get the mmu/tlb stuff right then you are almost there. The most interesting part is deciding what to do about graphics. /dev/draw would be an easy way out (the linux guys just went for a slow X) but the chip is more fun than that. brucee

lots of binaries

When you do your next pull, every binary on your system will be updated. (You can also use the "bleeding edge" update CD on the updates web page, after it gets regenerated tomorrow morning at 5am EST; it's probably less to download.) The binaries all changed because hardly any of them had been recompiled since the fmt library fixes (posted on October 18 to 9fans) went in. Going forward, we will be running "mk release" for every architecture every night, both to make sure that everything builds and to catch binaries that are out of date. Russ

Hi, thanks a lot for linuxemu! However, I was only able to run the stuff included with /bin. Other linux progs (sort, bc...) did not work (see below). May it be they were dynamically linked with glibc? Thus, isn't there a dosemu around there? (Perhaps it would be easier to make tru black dos progs run under plan9...)
