Alternately, if you manage to patch TagLib sufficiently so that it compiles with gcc3, I might be interested. To be clearer, gcc2's libstdc++ has `fake' templates that compile on machines without wstring support. Those templates don't work, but they compile. software relying on them will work on ascii-like character sets. gcc3 has a more precise mechanism, which matches more closely the actual standard, but the default, bogus templates are gone. So the code doesn't run, but it also doesn't compile. Check id3lib and the relevant patches to see what I'm talking about. taglib has similar issues, but worse. |
