Annoyance with Kmail: msg#00366os.openbsd.ports
Twice now I've seen Kmail do something obnoxious. I don't know if this is a KDE problem, or OpenBSD's. A brief look at the KDE mailing lists didn't show me anything. The problem I'm seeing is Kmail getting very slow, with top showing increasing CPU usage to near 100%, at which point Kmail crashes with a sig abort message. If I run Kmail again and don't do anything, the process repeats itself. To get Kmail to work again just about anything done to the inbox (reading mail, deleting one, ...) and exiting 'fixes' whatever it is such that the next invocation works OK. This has been observed with the Feb 23rd package set, and the previous one (Feb 20?), running -current compiled just about daily. Has anyone else seen this? --STeve Andre' |
