(I recently took over net/bitlbee, and the new version uses gnutls
for connecting to MSN.)

Brad@ tells me gnutls doesn't work on sparc64 so I've made a
half-hearted attempt at updating gnutls & friends, but he tells me
bitlbee still doesn't connect properly. I don't know yet whether
this is bitlbee or gnutls, or even if it is sparc64-specific.

If anyone is interested:

http://www.ajd.net.au/ports/port-libgcrypt-1.1.91.diff
http://www.ajd.net.au/ports/port-libgpg-error-0.6.tgz
http://www.ajd.net.au/ports/port-libtasn1-0.2.6.diff
http://www.ajd.net.au/ports/port-opencdk-0.5.3.diff

Some of the gnutls components are still alpha software.
I'd be half-inclined to mark it as broken for a while.

Still, on i386 the new version of bitlbee does seem to connect to
MSN more reliably. If anyone wants to test it:
