I'm sorry if this has already been asked (I searched the ports mail archive
already) but I am interesting in putting Java on my OpenBSD 3.2 box and make
it available for my apache server. I have already run the ports 'make' and
'make install' commands but now am wondering how to implement it into apache
so that javascript pages will work correctly.

Do you mean Java or do you mean JavaScript? They have nothing in common
except four letters. You do not need any Java support in order to get JavaScript
pages to work - they are part of your HTML page, and the code that interprets
them is in your browser.

If you really mean Java then yes, you probably need three things:
* a Java runtime (the jdk port)
* an Apache connector (mod-jk is in ports; there are others);
* Tomcat or another Java Web server (tomcat is in ports)

See the O'Reilly book on Tomcat for details on the latter two.

Is there something I need to
do to the actual java port or is it a config issue in my httpd.conf file?

Please reply to me directly since I am not a subscriber to the ports list.
We don't work that way. See the mailing lists page. If you volunteers to take their
time to answer you, then you must take the time to subscribe to the mailing list,
or wait a day or so and look in the mailing list archives.
