asus a8v-e deluxe / sk gigabit: msg#00016

Subject: asus a8v-e deluxe / sk gigabit
Hi,

I have an Asus A8V-E Deluxe motherboard. I'm having two problems with
it:

(1) It has an onboard Marvell 88E8053 Gigabit NIC.

The dmesg reports it (and what I presume to be the onboard wireless NIC)
as:

Galileo (Marvell) Technology product 0x4362 (ethernet network, revision 0x15)
at pci5 dev 0 function 0 not configured
Galileo (Marvell) Technology product 0x1fa7 (ethernet network, revision 0x07)
at pci0 dev 7 function 0 not configured

If I kludgily whack sys/dev/pci/if_sk* that it recognizes the NICs, it
will report:

skc0 at pci5 dev 0 function 0: ioapic1 pin 12 (irq 5)
skc0: bad VPD resource id: expected 82 got 0
skc0: Unkown Marvell rev. (0x2)
sk0 at skc0 port A: Ethernet address 00:11:d8:d5:13:7f
sk0: no PHY found!
sk1 at skc0 port B: Ethernet address 00:11:d8:d5:13:7f
sk1: no PHY found!

Now the odd part is that both sk0 and sk1 report the same MAC address.

(2) If I boot the amd64 install CD (or another amd64 GENERIC kernel), it
will give me a ton of 'viaide0 lost interrupt, device timeout' errors
and the machine won't actually boot.

The i386 GENERIC kernel, however, happily boots. But the
GENERIC.MPACPI exhibits the same behaviour as the amd64 kernel.

Any ideas?
