The MP Opterons feature additional HyperTransport links necessary
to connect the CPUs, I've read that Opterons can support more memory
than the Athlon 64, the Opteron requires registered memory, and
some Athlon 64s have less cache than their Opteron siblings.
Otherwise, they should be quite similar.
