No matter how slow it gets, maintaining VAX in the NetBSD tree will always have benefits. For one, if it works on a VAX, then that means we're doing not just something right, but LOTS right. There's hardly all that much code out there which is correct enough to run so many places. The hardware is completely solid. If NetBSD gets to a state where the OS NEVER crashes on VAX hardware, I will be very pleased. As it is, I have run DNS and backup email on one of my VAXen with uptimes of up to a year.
