As of 2.0, it works fine, but loses if you take it to a high speed. It is
most reliable at 9600 cps. I have not tested the serial port with 3.0.

MobilePro 780, NetBSD & MIDI / Serial Port?

Hello all, I've recently ordered a MobilePro 780 for PDA / notetaking purposes, and was delighted to find that there was an HPCMIPS port of NetBSD.  This got the mental gears working and I am intrigued by the notion of using the 780 as a MIDI controller. So, what is the status of NetBSD serial port support on the 780? Thanks for your time, Elijah Rutschman http://www.teamabunai.org/seawolf

Re: MobilePro 780, NetBSD & MIDI / Serial Port?

Hi Tyler & Ben, thanks very much for the help. The application I am interested in requires a transfer speed of about 31250 bps (give or take %1; this is full MIDI rate). Does anyone think it could be a possibility to crank this kind of speed out of an MP780's serial port?
