mkdir in anonymous ftp

Hi,

after setting up ftpd like ftpd(8) for guest logins, I see that the
modify command won't allow MKD for guest users. (see ftpd(5))

Has anyone got a way around this, so anonymous users can MKD in
~ftp/incoming ? This looks like it may require a patch ..
