I don't think it's "touched" which is the problem. Scale Image...
makes a new image leaving the original unchanged. Apparently it
doesn't copy over the metadata, which in one way of thinking makes
sense, the new image doesn't have the same metadata.

in the process, Especially if i just use something like "1600x" as
option, where the format of the file shouldnt be touched at all...
