i think you need to ensure the services menu module is enabled first
to allow you to access all commands there. i assume you are familiar
with 'services menu'.

note that the spotlight module for QS i recall was very buggy and i
stopped using it.

how i do it now is invoke QS, enter the string i am searching for and
then tab to select the services menu command called
"SEARCH_WITH_SPOTLIGHT".

to get an idea of how it works.
