i think you need to ensure the services menu module is enabled first to allow you to access all commands there. i assume you are familiar with 'services menu'. note that the spotlight module for QS i recall was very buggy and i stopped using it. how i do it now is invoke QS, enter the string i am searching for and then tab to select the services menu command called "SEARCH_WITH_SPOTLIGHT". there's an image of this on http://wakabamac.blog95.fc2.com/blog-entry-449.html. ignore the japanese part of the page but you can see the screenshots to get an idea of how it works.
