Messages are better if the document was XHTML 5 but it is not.

That interface (the one with /html5/ in the URI) is for checking if the input is a conforming HTML5 document or a conforming XHTML5 document (subject to both the spec and the service being unfinished).

The validation still failed, Though the document is correct.

The document is not correct XHTML5, which is what that interface in checking.

The document is correct XHTML 1.0 Strict, though:
