Re: JUG Board Election |
Note that generally getting enough people to fill the ballot is a
challenge. You will likely run unopposed. So if you're thinking about
it but think "oh someone probably wants it more"... then DO IT.

We will be having elections for the TriJUG board at next month's
meeting. If you are interested in running for a spot on the board,
please send me an email (at bgood210-/E1597aS9LQAvxtiuMwx3w@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx)
with your name and I
will add you to the ballot. Two of the current board members will not
be running again, so we are looking for help! Serving on the board is
a great way to meet people in the local Java community & help drive
the direction of the TriJUG.
The election process is very simple - everyone who is running for the
board will stand up at the September 20th meeting and introduce
themselves, then TriJUG members will mark their vote on a paper
ballot. At the end of the meeting, the votes will be tallied and the
winners announced.
