Word diff?

        I discovered a wdiff ("word diff") that showed the changes in
words between two files. Here is the word-diff comparing the 1.1 and 1.2
of the GNU Free Documentation License:
        http://people.debian.org/~branden/fdl/fdl-1.1-to-1.2.wdiff

        How does one create a wdiff? I use version 2.7 of GNU's diff
program but I didn't see a compare-by-word option in its man page. Do
I need another program?
