sharing SAN file system on Linux

Hi,

 

I have a redhat es box connected to a SAN device which has r/w access to a /partition. I have another redhat es box connected that mounts /partition as read-only. However when I create a file from the host machine, the machine that mounts as read-only doesn't see the file unless i re-mount /partition.

 

Is there any OS level configuration that I'm missing or do i need a third party software to do this. I don't want to consider NFS. There's also an option to have RedHat's GFS but I don't want the guest machine to have r/w and besides I want free :)
