I'm maintaining a Debian package (gtklp) that has support for gettext.
As a matter of fact, I'm already doing a tl.po for the app, pending
forward to upstream and build into the next Debian revision. Perhaps you
guys with a lot of time to kill (and maintaining free sw) can help out,
or better yet, do gettext work on your own apps and mix in tl_PH.

PS: Come to think of it, tl_PH should be complemented with the other
major Filipino dialects, such as Cebuano, Bicolano, Ilocano, Chabacano,
Pangasinense, etc... If we are really pushing for Babel here, we might
as well include Filipino phonetic letters into character encodings
(i.e., utf-8).
