dissertation research

Hi all,
My name is Arturo Martinez. I am a mexican student from the University of 
Manchester.
I am currently working on my dissertation which is a theoretical framework 
where i suggest Open Source as an empowerment tool to generate technological 
and economic development based on the  knowledge and support available from 
the OS communities.(which might result particularly useful for developing 
countries)
My research is specifically focused on what the empowerment mechanisms are 
at the microlevel. How does the fact of being involved in OS communities 
benefit individuals increasing their human capital?. What are the key 
stakeholders in this process and what is the potential of this empowerment 
experience in a more general development framework.
In order to find answer to this question i will perform a survey among OS 
users/developers  and then will apply grounded theory on collected data to 
come out with conclusions around the initital questions.  I was wondering if 
you guys would like to hear from my work and comment or suggest stuff. Any 
ideas would be more than welcome. I would LOVE to get some feedback 
specially with design of the questionare which i will apply to Linux users.

the current draft of the questionnare)
