How about trying some test-driven development using the unit testing features? Do you like language features? Check out anonymous delegates, iterators, partial types and generics. Refactoring is cool. ClickOnce is cool. Smart tags in the designer are cool. Data binding in Windows Forms and Web Forms is a much-improved developer experience. Lots of new stuff in the System.Xml namespace (although some of that is in flux.) The new XsltCommand supports debugging, so you can step through transformations. You might find something that piques your curiosity in the Windows Forms FAQ page on Windows Forms 2.0 [1] and the Compact Framework FAQ page on Compact Framework 2.0 [2]. Be sure to provide feedback to the product teams at the MSDN Product Feedback Center [3]. Loads more to try from the Visual Studio 2005 home page [4] and Visual Studio 2005 Team System home page [5].
