Subject: Re: Visual Studio 2005 Beta 1 refresh installation

bliz,

Thanks, I'm probably confused. I familiarized myself with Virtual PC during the
day and then in the evening planned to load Visual Studio 2005. I remembered
that when I loaded Visual Studio 2003 a while back I loaded the 1.1 Framework.
And I thought it was important to load it before Visual Studio. (Possibly
Visual Studio itself would have loaded the Framework if it were not there,
however) The DVD I got had the 1.1 Framework on it, but in the Additional
Resources area not the Pre-Release Products area. I know that there is a 2.0
Framework beta available and thought that possibly the Visual Studio 2005 beta
required that.

My virtual machine has no Framework currently installed. My plan is to install
1.1 and then the Visual Studio beta. If the Visual Studio beta brings in its
own Framework that's different from 1.1, I don't think it's a problem.

Tampa huh?

Hi Ted,

I don't quite understand your question. Run the version that comes with
it.

What version framework do you recommend that I run with Visual Studio
2005 Beta 1 refresh? Thanks. - Ted

BTW, #1 performance recommendation is to increase the VPC memory size
- the
default is very small. Best results with a 1GB machine and allocate
512MB to
the VPC image, although you can get by with less. You can change the
VPC
memory size from the VPC console when the image isn't running.

Cheers,
Stuart
