PMI Lowers Passing Score for PMP® Exam 
Regrading of Exams to Begin Today, November 30th
  Good Afternoon:
  My apologies for sending a second communication so soon after the first, but 
RMC has just been notified by several of its students that earlier this 
afternoon (November 30th of 2005) PMI lowered the passing score for the new PMP 
exam. We also know that this new score will be retroactively applied to all 
examinations taken since September 30th of 2005.
  One thing to keep in mind is that there is no word if this lowered passing 
score is a permanent act on behalf of PMI, or a temporary solution in response 
to the test item review process as outlined in our previous email. But whatever 
the reason, we encourage those of you who failed the new exam to watch your 
mailboxes over the next few days, and keep us posted if your exam grade is 
indeed modified.
  Also, as we mentioned yesterday your best strategy is to sit for the exam 
when you believe you are ready to do so. Don't let this lowered passing score 
push you into taking the exam until you're fully prepared. Regardless of what 
the passing score might be, this is a very difficult exam!

Entendo a sua preocupação e também compartilho desta preocupação.
Mas vale lembrar que não é só importante o número de questões da
prova, mas também no grau de dificuldade dela.

Na minha faculdade a nota mínima para aprovação é 50%. Em outra
faculdade concorrente a nota mínima é 70%. Ambas as faculdades são
igualmente conceituadas no mercado. Então este é um ponto importante
que deve ser lembrado. Por ora, confio na capacidade de julgamento do
PMI.

Em tempo: não consegui encontrar nenhuma informação sobre este assunto
no site do PMI.org. Alguém conseguiu?
