It would be great if someone would comment some more on this. I have a
number of folks running into this every day. They simply can't do an
initial sync between Outlook and Google Calendar because Google's QUOTA
limit is way too low.

After the initial sync, only the changes are transferred. I recently
proposed a couple of solutions that Google could take to solve this
problem, but no one has commented to me about them publicly or privately.

Please - on behalf of all of the folks failing to sync Outlook with
Google calendar because of this quota limit - consider my previous
suggestions or simply raise the quota limits to above 5,000 events per
day. That still won't satisfy everyone but there are only a small number
of folks with 10,000 or more than 20,000 events in their calendars. I'm
willing to do the work so these folks can split their imports up over
the course of a few days if need be.
