Thanks folks. I was using 2.6.11 and 2.6.11 didn't have support for call
graphs. But was able to integrates the patches pretty easily and I am
happily profiling with call graphs!

I'm pretty sure I've used a recent kernel, unpatched, to do backtracing
with oprofile.
