Hi
We're trying to profile the starting of an application
and we'd like better resolution than that offered by using
the 100 Hz tick interrupt.
Is there a way to get a higher sampling rate without
changing the system tick rate?
Can the RTC be used for this in the 2.6 kernel?
If profiling hardware support were available, is there a
timer somewhere that does the sampling? If so, which timer?
BTW: It an Intel Xscale PXA321 using 2.6.16 and while the
processor has hardware support, we've not yet added support
for the part to the kernel.
