Flag Telecom Remained Okay - Also for few Providers like us, we have
observed very mild impact on the ITI/PIE network As well - may be due to
some traffic engineering on PIE/ITI end.

Thanks

Not sure about the impact in SA, but in Pakistan for almost 6 Hours PIE
backbone was suffering badly due Hong Kong path until they routed it to
other path.

For some companies (including mine) we are using Asia-Sat 4, Hong Kong
teleport for full duplex backup E1 streams. For immediate 12 HRS, we
were unable to use the circuit while upstream was trying to get some
clean bandwidth. But for now upstream has reported that they have
acquired a clean path via Japan/Singapore - so far performance is
normal.

Thanks,
Shakeel Ahmad

what's the impact been in the region ?

As far as i can tell, few of our ISPs in Nepal was severely affected,
given their primary and back connection were to singapore and
hongkong respectively.

What's the effect on east bound traffic from else where ?

thanks
