What needs to be done to fix this? Funny behaviour ... wouldn't it be enough to give all columns a default value? I'm not sure currently if this is possible on the databases side (when creating the table - mostly yes) but you can at least give a default of false (or 0 or "unchecked") when creating the form showing this data.
