Hello and thank you for your assistance. I do not know how many of you
were following the pfaedit woes on the list for the past week+, but I
managed to get it installed by clearing out many .xxx files and
directories that were put there by having the same software installed
from Fink. I do not know if that will help anyone in the future, but it
is still worth noting. I have tried to install maxima now, and I am
getting the error that DP thinks it is already installed.

Error: Target com.apple.install returned: Another version of Port
maxima is already registered as installed. Please uninstall the port
first.
Maxima is no longer present on this machine, so I do not know why it is
giving me this error. The only thing I can think of is that there is
some file from before that has been left when I uninstalled Fink.
However, upon searching, I have not found anything. If anyone could
help out, I would be very grateful. Thanks again. Oh, below my
