I have a portfile for gcc 3.3.3 (for my Solaris machine) and was wondering
if anyone thinks checking it in might be a good or bad idea, for any number
of various reasons?
i think it's interesting for any system
- on other system, we can't rely on having an unknow compiler (solaris
cc or gcc 2.95)
- apple doesn't provide necessay env for static compiling. if DP gcc
could, would be better.
- not sure, if apple provide all elements of gcc in base system (gcj,
g77...)
