Subject: Re: pfaedit errors
Yes, if memory serves, I do have the X11SDK installed. Thanks for all of your help so far. By the way, if I wanted to check whether or not the X11SDK was installed, how would I do so?

Assuming that Panther's freetype (via X11) is better than DP's, I did the following:

sudo port uninstall freetype
sudo port install pfaedit
And I get...
(I should also mention that I did not upgrade from Jaguar to Panther, but did a reformat/reinstall). Thanks again for all of your help.

---> Building pfaedit with target all
Error: Target com.apple.build returned: shell command "cd "/Users/iqgrande/darwinports/dports/graphics/pfaedit/work/pfaedit -040204" && make all" returned error 2

freetype.c:621: error: parse error before ')' token

Just to make sure, do you have the X11SDK package installed?

Hello and thank you for your assistance. I typed:

sudo port install pfaedit
... and it gave me the following:

tibook:~ iqgrande$ sudo port install pfaedit

The interesting output from configure on his system is

checking for /opt/local/include/freetype2... yes

If I recall, the wisdom is to NOT have freetype through DP as the one in
Apple's X11 works better, correct?

Bryan

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated in solving this problem. I
did a search in the archives and did not see anything. In case it is
needed, I am running the latest port stuff (I am new to DarwinPorts) on
the following:
Mac OS X 10.3.2 (fully updated)
PowerBook G4 / 400 MHz / 640 MB RAM
