What linux do we use as reference ?
I don't think there's a clearly defined policy on this. I use
Slackware, which (as a matter of policy) ships unpatched software
whenever possible. Linux 2.4.25, glibc 2.3.2, gcc 3.3.3. I personally
feel Slackware is a good reference - but I'm sure everyone else will
disagree. :)
There are very few ports that have this line, and some obstacles (deps)
to getting DarwinPorts working properly on Linux. However, we might as
well establish some sort of consensus on this now. Comments?
