For the wifi card:

If you can wait a bit and part with about $75, get a Senao, Engenious,
Demarctech, or Zcomax (all are Prism 2.5 chipsets). You shouldn't be
disappointed in their performance, although I have some doubts if you'd be
able to find them at Frys (local stores here in MN don't have them).
Otherwise Lucent/Orinoco cards.

AP:
The Dlink 900-AP+ seems like a good choice according to the general
consensus of many comments I've read online.
