Linksys diversity control, output power and WiFi Video Conference replacing: msg#00083network.wireless.seattle.general
Greetings: Yes please subscribe me. I have a Linksys B/B Router, BEFW11S4. I am told that Linksys router with updated firmware, you can select only the right or left antenna to be active, or disable diversity spread altogether, and divide the power between the antennas. How can I tell if I have the current firmware to perform this option and / or how do I implement / program this function? Can you tell me if Radio Shack or where I might find the mating screw on connector to cable to an external antenna? Does anyone know what the output power is of the BEFW11S4 radio without antenna? How about with the antennas it comes? Also attached, "UniServ Council Directory ..." is a list of sites a client pays for 768/768 kpbs, up/down DSL for about $200 for their video conferenceing (requires a minimum of about 400 Kbps). Can anyone refer me to those who might wish to provide WiFi to those sites for the video conferenceing application for less than what they are paying for DSL? Please advise, thanks.
